What reasons can be attributed  to the sudden spurt in the volume of above two stocks at certain price levels? What cause the liquidity to increase so much at these level ?

The sudden spurt in the volume comes from the fact that we human being are more comfortable with integers than fractions. Traders and investors are more comfortable in putting their limit or stop-loss order in integral form rather than fraction. The accumulation of higher number of trader order at these levels lead to a sudden spree of transaction which leads to a sudden bump.
